PES 2017 will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the UK on September 15th with North America getting the game a few days earlier on September 13th, Konami has announced.
The confirmed release date means that PES 2017 will be launching two weeks ahead of its rival, FIFA 17, which releases worldwide on September 29th. Until last year, PES had released several weeks, sometimes months after FIFA which often put the game at a disadvantage. However, Konami will be eager to ensure that the game ships with updated squad rosters this time round after coming in for huge amounts of criticism for releasing PES 2016 with old squads.
PES 2017 will retail for $60 with the last-gen version of the game on PS3 and Xbox 360 being available at a cheaper price, costing only $40. EA are also releasing FIFA 17 onto last-gen consoles, although no pricing has been announced by them.
Anyone who pre-orders PES 2017 will receive bonuses for the game’s online mode, myClub, which is Konami’s answer to FIFA‘s Ultimate Team. More details regarding pre-order bonuses are to be revealed soon by Konami.
