It’s been nearly five years since we saw the release of Skyrim and fans of the franchise are looking towards the next installment, however according to Bethesda’s Pete Hines, The Elder Scrolls 6 is not currently in development meaning that it could be sometime before we see the game.
Bethesda Game Studios Game Director Todd Howard did confirm earlier this month that there will be a Elder Scrolls 6 at some point, stating “yes, of course we are [going to make Elder Scrolls 6]”. Unfortunately though, Pete Hines confirmation will not be the news Elder Scrolls fans will be wanting.
Speaking on Twitter, Hines said that no work is currently being down on TES6 and therefore the studio’s other projects, of which two have been confirmed, will not be taking development away from Elder Scrolls 6 because it’s not being worked on.
@HotShame0 we aren’t working on TES6 at the moment

Hines continued by saying that the studio has two other major titles to work on. It’s not clear what games these are although it seems likely that one of the major titles will be the re-release of Skyrim which is making its way onto PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
@SMatarratas @Hector_Arce_ i’m not lying. i have no reason to lie. just managing expectations and clearing up misconceptions
