Call of Duty: Black Ops Sales Soar 13,400% Following Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

Yesterday Call of Duty: Black Ops was added to the Xbox One’s list of backwards compatible titles, and as a result the update sent sales of Black Ops on Xbox 360 to soar through the roof with Amazon reporting that sales had increased by 13,400%!

There are two versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops that you can purchase on Amazon – the Classics version and the original. The game is currently in the No.2 spot on Amazon’s top sellers chart, however, both versions sit at No.1 and No.2 in the Movers & Shakers chart.

The classics version is currently the 43rd best selling game on Amazon, although sat at 3,503 before the update, an increase of 8,046%. The original version of Black Ops is currently the 2nd best selling on Amazon having climbed from 70th position, a jump of 3,400%. Earlier in the day that increase was as high 13,400%.

That means that since being made playable on Xbox One, Call of Duty: Black Ops is beating the likes of Doom and Homefront: The Revolution when it comes to sales but sits behind Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. That’s pretty impressive considering the game released back in 2010 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC!

you can’t just add the percentages, that’s bogus!
the individual increases are still high, though.
