Call of Duty: Black Ops Should Be Backwards Compatible From Today

UPDATE: Call of Duty: Black Ops is now available to play on Xbox One, with Amazon seeing sales of the game soar by over 10,000%!

It looks as if Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable later today on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.

Although no official announcement has been made about Black Ops being playable on Xbox One, it has shown up for users on the Xbox 360 dashboard as being available to play on Xbox One. In the dashboard, it states that Black Ops “Now Plays on Xbox One”.

The update on the Xbox 360 dashboard was spotted and posted onto Reddit by user Super_Saiyajin.

Call of Duty: Black Ops now plays on Xbox One

Since backwards compatibility was announced at last year’s E3 by Microsoft, Call of Duty: Black Ops has been one of those games which has been requested heavily and it has looked likely for some time that Microsoft and Activison would be bringing 2010’s Black Ops to Xbox One.

We expect Microsoft to officially confirm that Black Ops is available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility later today.
