Injustice 2 Announced

Warner Bros Interactive and NetherRealm Studios have officially announced the sequel to superhero fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

NetherRealm have revealed how they plan to “come out swinging” in terms of content and story. Injustice 2 will contain new characters, new environments, more environmental destruction opportunities, and a new Gear system.

The Gear system will allow players to unlock character specific equipment to kit out their roster of heroes and villains through the use of a loot system. Promising that no two players’ heroes will be the same, whether this “gear” you kit out characters with will carry more effects than a simple new look is still to be determined.

Injustice 2 is scheduled for a 2017 release.
