The creators of Quantum Break, Remedy Entertainment, earlier announced that Microsoft must update Windows 10 before it can address the issues facing the heavily riddled PC version of Quantum Break.
Remedy Entertainment posted an update on their Forums regarding these issues and that Microsoft have intentions to fix the underlying problems that plague the game.
“Microsoft has identified a Windows 10 memory management issue which may cause Quantum Break to crash on some GPUs,” it explained. “This crash is seen more frequently at higher game settings. Microsoft plans to fix this in a future Windows Update.”
Earlier this month Remedy Entertainment apologized for the problems their players were receiving and assured that they would fix these issues.
In the recent Review on Quantum Break I mentioned a fair few of these bugs present in the PC version on my second opinion, FPS drops, crashes, etc. all plague the PC version, making it almost unplayable in a sense, all of which will be addressed in a patch due on the 1st of May.
“Both the Xbox One and [Windows 10] Quantum Break title updates are in the certification process right now,” said Thomas Puha, the studio’s head of PR. “The title updates are still in testing … still some bugs to fix.”
Hopefully, many of these issues will be fixed as Quantum Break is a fantastic game with a fantastic story and is worth a play when these issues are fixed.
