Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Announced

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the sequel to its predecessor but has been developed and written in such a way that it is ideal for newcomers and longtime fans alike, even if you have not played the first game.

The game was announced with a trailer at a global digital event, which can be watched below:

Viewers hear from the actors and developers directly about this fantastic medieval saga and then enjoy some magical music from the game’s composer, Jan Valta.

Diving back into the heart-pounding world of 15th Century Bohemia (Central Europe), Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting players into the shoes of Henry, the steadfast son of a blacksmith, embroiled in a tumultuous tale of vengeance, betrayal, and self-discovery.

In this sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith’s forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.

On two new maps that promise to be double the size of the previous game, players can explore the beautiful and diverse Bohemian Paradise (a real-world location you can still visit in the Czech Republic) with the majestic Trosky Castle and then visit an urban environment of the silver mining town of Kuttenberg (a Unesco World Heritage site).

With over five hours of cutscenes narrating Henry’s journey, players will be embroiled in the unfolding drama at every turn.

The combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been revamped, promising to make it more accessible while staying true to its nature, a depiction of real medieval martial arts, from elegant swordplay to deadly ranged attacks, such as the newly added crossbows or early gunpowder weapons.

Warhorse Studios also says the game claims to be a true to the core RPG experience, where you can take multiple approaches to quests, evolve Henry in any way you see fit and get lost in a responsive and lively world.

Join Henry on his quest for redemption and revenge in 1403 Bohemia later this year, and remember: “Audentes fortuna iuvat!”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X later this year.
