Dying Light 2 Gets Spring 2020 Release Date

With Sony giving E3 a miss this year, it’s been down to Microsoft to showcase a number of the most anticipated upcoming games that will be releasing over the next 12 months. One of the most anticipated games shown during Microsoft’s E3 Conference was Dying Light 2, which has now been given a Spring 2020 release window.

Dying Light 2 serves as the sequel to Techland’s 2015 zombie parkour hit Dying Light and will see players step into the shoes of Aiden, a brand new protagonist who is himself infected but for some reason has not yet turned.

Unlike the first game, Dying Light 2’s story focuses heavily on the human elements of such an apocalypse, with players being tasked with a number of tough decisions to make. There are also competing factions vying for control of the city that players can side with. Each faction has different aims and goals, and these will be reflected in how the city changes and evolves based on the decisions they and Aiden make.

The parkour and satisfying melee combat that the franchise has become well-known for are still central to Dying Light 2, however, so you can still expect to be jumping across rooftops, flying through windows and come crashing down on top of the skulls of the infected

Dying Light 2 will be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in Spring 2020. Keep an eye out in the coming months for a concrete release date.
