Fallout 76 on PC May Not Be Entirely Exclusive to Bethesda.net

Earlier this month, Bethesda came out and revealed that Fallout 76 on PC would be exclusive to Bethesda.net and would not be available through Steam.

However, while Fallout 76 isn’t available on Steam, it appears that the game isn’t entirely exclusive to Bethesda.net as a store listing for Fallout 76 on PC has appeared on the Microsoft Store and is available to pre-order.

The Microsoft Store listing includes two editions of the game, the regular edition and the Tricentennial Edition which comes with additional content.

The PC listing for Fallout 76 only appears to be available for the US version of the Microsoft Store, however. The UK Store listing only shows the Xbox One version of Fallout 76, with no reference to the PC version being made.

Some users are speculating that the inclusion of Fallout 76 on the Microsoft Store is a result of a deal signed between Microsoft and Bethesda which, some are hoping, will make Fallout 76 a Play Anywhere title. If that’s the case, anyone who purchases a copy of Fallout 76 through the Microsoft Store would be able to play the game on PC and Xbox One without needing to purchase an additional copy.

Microsft and Bethesda signed a similar deal with Fallout Shelter, which is a Play Anywhere title, although it is free-to-play.

Fallout 76 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 14th.
