Here Are Your Free PS Plus Games for August

Sony have announced another great lineup for this month’s free PS Plus games. PS Plus members have been fortunate recently with a host of excellent games month after month, and it’s reassuring to see Sony continuing this trend. Once again, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita each have two free games available to PS Plus members.

Mafia III, the open-world crime game, is the main offering in August for PlayStation 4 owners which places you in 1968 New Bordeaux, playing as Lincoln Clay who aims to take revenge on the local gang who murdered his adopted family.

The hugely popular Dead by Daylight is another freebie this month for PlayStation 4; a competitive horror game where one player takes the role of a savage killer with the other four players trying to avoid being caught and killed.

PlayStation 3 owners are rewarded with Bound by Flame, an action role-playing game with you playing as a mercenary possessed by a flame demon – here you need to choose whether to unleash the powers of the beast within or reject its demonic influence. The first-person shooter Serious Sam 3: BFE is the other free game this month for PS3.

Owners of the PS Vita are still given free games with their PS Plus memberships, at least for a little while longer; August provides you with Draw Slasher and Space Hulk.

PS Plus members not only have the chance to download these six free games, Sony have also made two bonus games available: Here They Lie is a PSVR horror game, and Knowledge Is Power is a party quiz game for the PS4, and these titles will be free until October 2nd & November 6th, respectively.
