Detroit: Become Human Has Gone Gold, Also Gets a Demo

After four years of passionate crafting, Detroit: Become Human has gone gold according to Guillaume de Fondaumiére, Co- CEO & Executive producer from Quantic Dream.

After what started as a PS3 tech demo called Kara back in 2012, it then started production in 2014, and the game is now finished and ready for its May 25th release date.

“During these four years, we have gone through all possible states and emotions that the development of such a challenging project induces: the pride of working on something special and unique, the doubt of attaining all our creative and technical goals”

“Become Human is no longer our game, instead it will soon become yours. Yours to play, to own, to hopefully cherish”

Ahead of its launch, Sony are releasing a demo on April 24th. In the demo you can play the very first scene of the game, Hostage.

Similarly to their previous games, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream’s new title, Detroit: Become Human, is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. The game will feature multiple branching story points where multiple characters can die, and there will be no game over screen. In the game you’ll be able to rewind sections of the story to reshape events.

Detroit: Become Human is due out May 25th for PlayStation 4.
