State of Decay 2 Releasing in Spring 2018, Gets New Trailer

State of Decay 2 will miss its original target date of 2017 and will instead be releasing in Spring 2018, Microsoft has revealed at E3 2017.

The open-world zombie survival game was first revealed at E3 2016 as the successor to 2013’s extremely popular Xbox Live Arcade game State of Decay. Microsoft and Undead Labs originally gave it a release date for sometime in 2017; however, gamers won’t be able to experience the zombie apocalypse again until next year.

While the delay will definitely come as a disappointment to fans, Microsoft did release a brand new 4K trailer to help soften the blow which showcased some gameplay, as well as giving us a glimpse of the four-player co-op action we can expect come launch.

State of Decay 2 will be releasing on Xbox One and Windows 10, meaning that PlayStation 4 gamers will once again miss out. However, if you do own an Xbox One and PC, the good news is that the game is a Play Anywhere title, meaning that you only need to purchase one copy of the game to be able to play it on both Xbox One and PC.
