South Park: The Fractured But Whole Shows “Fartastic” Cinematic Trailer, Confirming Release Date

Ubisoft has just posted a new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the sequel of highly-acclaimed action-adventure RPG South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Although most of the content in the trailer is purely cinematic, the clip does provide the viewers an overview of what to expect in the gameplay experience. This time, the theme of the trailer is to focus on “Farting” mechanics that vastly expanded from the prequel. Players can do additional interactions and enjoy hilarious moments just by farting on opponents or random NPCs. The trailer also confirms the final release date of the game, which is 17th October 2017 on all three major platforms: PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole continues the storyline of The Stick of Truth but focuses more on the parody of superhero franchises. Unlike the prequel that only has 4 classes, the game expands more on gameplay with 12 distinct classes and various spell/skill combinations. However, The Fractured But Whole will still retain the core gameplay that powered the first game, as well as the signature crude humor from the original animated TV series. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of the titular show, also joined directly in the game development as main writers and creative consultants.
