Potential COD: WWII Release Date Leaks

The release date for the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, called Call of Duty: WWII, may have already been leaked.

Multiple sources have been found across the net that point to November 3rd being the official release date for the shooter’s vintage instalment.

There WAS also a leak by a Reddit user that showed a store display with the release date on, but it has since been removed.

The first source comes from a large advertisement in Saint Lazare, a section of the Paris metro, and the second source comes from some kind of display/packaging that a Reddit user leaked onto the internet. While the (now removed) latter source might be a little more dubious (this wouldn’t be the first time someone mocked up a false ‘leak’ for giggles), the fact that there are A LOT of pictures of the Saint Lazare advertisement on Twitter from numerous different users makes it much more believable.

The date is also very realistic one: early November is the standard release window for many of the modern games in the series, and releasing it on the 3rd would put it on a Friday, which is also standard practice.

The official announcement of the release date is most likely going to be revealed on Wednesday, on the 26th of April, at Activision’s Call of Duty: WWII Worldwide Reveal Livestream (which we have talked about previously).

Due to the fact that these links are unconfirmed, it isn’t 100% guaranteed which systems the game will be released on, though in all likelihood it will include the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Time will tell if we’ll see some kind of Switch edition on release.
