Titanfall 2 releasing in 2016? We’re not so sure…

Titanfall was one of the Xbox One’s stand out games when it launched back in March 2014 and we absolutely loved it! Unfortunately though, we won’t be seeing a sequel in the shape of Titanfall 2 until April 2016 at the earliest, if we’re lucky which we are pretty damn certain that we won’t be and if the latest EA Earnings Call are anything to go by, then we may not even see it until March the following year, all the way in 2017.

Speaking at the EA Earnings Call last night, the publisher discussed the potential release window for Titanfall 2 but warned gamers not to get their hopes up for an early 2016 release, stating that gamers should assume that the game won’t be available until EA’s FY 2017 which runs between April 2016 and March 2017.

“In terms of Titanfall, you should assume that that’s not in fiscal 2016. It’s more likely in fiscal 2017, and a title of that size, we want to be pretty clear as to when it’s falling in the title slate, and so your assumption should be 2017”, said EVP Blake Jorgensen.

What we do know however is that Titanfall 2 will be a multiplatform release, meaning that it will no longer be a Xbox exclusive and will make its way to the PlayStation 4.
