The Games to Look Out for in March

Happy March everyone, March is a big month for gaming, Hitman is making a return with its new approach to things, The Division dubbed the “Destiny Killer” is soon here, but most importantly, Virtual Reality gaming will now become a reality, and you can check out a VR related feature here. Anyways, on to the games to look out for in March.

Heavy Rain – 1st March – PS4

What would you do for someone you loved? That’s the question that Heavy Rain asks you whilst you’re playing the interactive noir thriller which is making its return from last-gen consoles. Quantic Dream’s masterpiece, the PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain, has been remastered for PS4 and looks better than ever. You play as four different characters that can die at any point in the game, and if they do there are no restarts or continues, the story goes on without them. If you’re looking for a fresh unique experience, Heavy Rain is the way to go.

JAAASSSSSOOOOON!! JAAAAAAAASSSSSSSOOOOOOOON!

Black Desert Online – 3rd March – PC

Korean sandbox massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Black Desert Online, finally makes its way to the US and the rest of the EU. Now I’ve only played two MMO’s before Runescape and FF14, and if my PC wouldn’t melt just from installing this it would have been my third. The game is absolutely beautiful to look at, combat is action heavy focused with fun classes to play such as Ninja, Valkyrie, Berserker, and many more. Black Desert Online also features the best character creation tools I’ve ever seen, you’ll no doubt be spending as much time in it creating characters that look more beautiful than real life people.

The Division  – 8th March – PC, PS4, XBO

The Division has a lot of hype surrounding it with many eyes waiting to see if it will be the “Destiny Killer”, a title unfairly given to the game but a title that will stick with the game forever whether it lives up to that hype or not. The Division needs to hit the ground running with tons of content so players can keep coming back for more and more. The Division has a trump card though, that being the Dark Zone, an area full of unpredictability and some of the most tense shootouts I’ve had in an online game.

Hitman – 11th March – PC, PS4, XBO

Bald guy that has a Walmart shopping barcode on the back of his head, or Agent 47 for short, is back in the sixth installment of the Hitman series. This new Hitman follows after the events of Absolution and is shaping up to be the most ambitious Hitman to date, being released in episodic fashion and offering the players the freedom to assassinate their targets in a variety of creative ways.

UFC 2 – 15th March – PS4, XBO

It’s time to get physical, like a kick to Ronda Rousey’s head, and you’ll be able to replicate that great moment in UFC as well as much more. With 250+ characters to choose from, including legendary special character Bruce Lee, UFC 2 has a lot more new features such as the new knockout mode, challenge mode, live events, and more.

Pokkén Tournament18th March – Wii U

I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause

I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Each Pokemon to understand
The power that’s inside

Pokemon! Gotta catch ’em all! It’s you and me
I know it’s my destiny,
Pokemon! Oh you’re my best friend
In a world we must defend
Pokemon! A heart so true
Our courage will pull us through,

You teach me and I’ll teach you,
Pokemon! Gotta catch’em all

Alienation – 23rd March – PS4

Do you all remember when the PS4 first launched? There was this little game that was given out free, at first not many people paid it much attention because we were too busy playing our new shiny Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack. Soon after that, we all realised the brilliance of Resogun and played it religiously trying to beat our high score. So if you enjoyed Resogun, and it’s safe to say you did, you should check out Housemarque’s new game. A gorgeous, fast paced alien-themed spiritual successor to Dead Nation.

Oculus Rift – 28th March

Virtual Reality gaming kicks off towards the end of the month, and I hope you’ve been saving up your money as the Oculus Rift will cost you around $600. It’s going to be an exciting time as we find out if VR is the future of gaming, and the first few titles you’ll be able to play are Eve: Valkyrie, Adrift, and more.
