Cyberpunk 2077 – The Lowdown in Night City

Although it is not that surprising to some, as you are going to want a game of this magnitude to be perfect, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed with the new date for its release set for November 10th.

But in the meantime, here is everything we know so far about CD Projekt Red’s much-anticipated RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

Big shlong, coming through!!

For those small few that may have been living under a rock for the last 7 years since the game was first announced, Cyberpunk 2077 is a single-player, open-world RPG with real-time combat from the developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red. You take control of a character called V, who is fully customisable in every aspect of the word, from stats and perks to backstory and life path. From gender, down to genitalia: There are even 5 different types of pubic hair to choose from! It is safe to say that the devil is certainly in the detail.

Turn me into Cyborg from Justice League!

Another huge part of the game will be the wide variety of body modifications/cybernetics to help give you the advantage you may need. Along with implants like the Deus Ex games (Human Revolution/Mankind Divided) that will also affect how you play the game. Street cred is another in-game stat you will notice, which can affect several things. That fresh new leather jacket you just put on? It isn’t just for show, you know, as it could possibly help you navigate relationships between Night City’s various factions.

Get all the loot!!

Cyberpunk 2077 also brings a whole bunch of street story side quests, 75 to be precise. The combat in the game may look straightforward, but there is always more than one way to complete your objective. Do you choose to go in all guns blazing? Or will you choose to stick to the shadows and rely on your quick thinking and hacking skills to keep one step ahead of the enemy?

I hope you’ve got your walking shoes on..

Whichever path you choose to take, you will also have plenty of opportunities to try and talk your way out of a sticky situation. In terms of map size in square feet, it’s been told that it will be just a little smaller than the Witcher 3 map; but size isn’t everything *wink wink*. Night City itself is a densely packed and bustling hub of cyberpunk richness. Of course, there will be some wilderness areas to explore, like the Badlands on the outskirts of the city or the ravaged wasteland plagued by raiders.

Either way, the team at CD Projekt Red have given us an extremely detailed world to explore. Although not your four-legged friend Roach from The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will have several high tech Blade Runner-like vehicles to help you navigate the futuristic metropolis and surrounding areas. One thing that CDPR has been incredibly open about is the lack of microtransactions (thank God!), as well as plenty of DLC updates post-launch and talk of a possible multiplayer mode. But I would not get your hopes up just yet as I can only assume you will be waiting a while.

Well, there you have it, everyone. That’s everything we know about what is no doubt one of this year’s most anticipated games: Cyberpunk 2077.

What do you think? How excited are you for its release? Let us know in the comments!
