Today at the EA conference, we got a little gameplay look at Battlefield 1. We already know the upcoming World War I first-person shooter is scheduled to release later this year, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21st.
Battlefield 1 will use the frostbite engine giving the game an extra edge when it comes to graphics and gameplay. DICE have huge ambitions for Battlefield 1, they are building a game for the players, taking all their feedback on board for the best Battlefield game yet.
A big focus is on melee combat, destructive environments, and weather changes that feel more natural trying to create a very gritty WWI game. We also have air combat and various armoured vehicles, including light and heavy tanks, armoured trucks and battleships, as well as the option of riding horses into battle.
The game will feature up to 64 players, 32 vs 32, in classic Battlefield game modes, Rush and Conquest. With an open beta coming later on this year before the October 21st release date.
