Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Announced Along With Modern Warfare Remaster

The next entrant to the Call of Duty franchise, Infinite Warfare, was announced yesterday to be released on November 4th of this year. This iteration in the series has been headed by Infinity Ward, who have also handled the ‘zombie mode’ for the first time ever.

The game will once again be set in the future with lots of new mechanics and innovations. The player will take command of their own warship and experience leadership and deep storytelling beyond what has been shown before in the series.

It’s hard not to be disappointed by the fact that this is once again a game set in the future, especially after the leaks earlier this year which led us to believe the series (and rival Battlefield) would make a return to WWII or even WWI.

However, perhaps even more exciting was the announcement that Modern Warfare has been remastered and will be shipping with the game. It will feature the full campaign and ten multiplayer maps. This has been what fans have been asking for since the release of the current generation. What a shame it’ll only be bundled with Infinite Warfare and won’t be available on its own.

The game was also announced to only be releasing on current-gen only, which isn’t really a surprise after the largely inferior version of Black Ops III that was released last year.
