The Game Boy Color holds a special place in my heart since it was not just my first handheld game system but one of my first gaming consoles I got. This is one of the reasons why I love Game Boy color mods. The full size IPS kit is the newest backlight kit for the Game Boy Color, and yes, it has been out for a while, but here’s my review on the unit I received.
The time I spent with the unit/kit was somewhat good. That is before the lines started scrolling through the screen and made me dizzy, so I had to stop playing the Game Boy at that point. If it wasn’t for that, I would have definitely given the kit a 10/10 and called it one of the best backlight kits to get. It uses a Game Boy Advance replacement backlit screen, which uses the right colors, making them look vibrant and the best they could ever look.
