Ghostbusters: The Video Game Is Getting a Remaster

Fantastic news for remasters and Ghostbusters fans. That is right, there is going to be a remaster of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which was released back in 2009. No release date was announced, but it’s coming later this year. Mad Dog Games made the announcement saying that the remaster is going to be for the current generation of systems – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game was written by Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis and featured all of the original cast – (including supporting and side characters). There have been other Ghostbusters games since the first one that appeared on the Atari 2600, but Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a movie adaptation. Mad Dog Games now controls the rights and are working with Saber Interactive to bring us this new remaster.

For those who are not familiar with Ghostbusters: The Video Game, you play as a rookie who works alongside the cast of characters from the original movies. You can check out the trailer below.
