Gone Home releasing on PS4 and Xbox One on January 12

The hugely popular indie game Gone Home will be making its way onto console on January 12, Fullbright has announced on its blog.

Gone Home had originally been set to make its way to consoles via former publisher Midnight City, but due to their closure the console port was delayed indefinitely. However Gone Home will now finally get its release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Speaking on their blog, Fullbright founder Steve Gaynor stated, “Ever since Gone Home came out we’ve wanted to be able to bring it to people who maybe aren’t PC gamers, or don’t have a good enough computer, or who just want to play in their living room, maybe to share the experience with a friend or loved one from the comfort of their couch.”

He continued, “Our goal wasn’t to add or change things, but just to bring the game that players know & love onto consoles in the best possible form we could.  We’re really excited for you all to get your hands on it!”

It was also revealed in the comment sections of the blog that Fullbright are planning on pricing it the same as for PC, meaning Gone Home will have a price tag of $19.99.
