Capcom File Registration for Devil May Cry 5 Domain

Capcom, developers of the Devil May Cry franchise, appear to have registered a domain for the website for what looks like the unannounced and upcoming entry in the DMC series. This could prove to be a huge piece of information ahead of E3 2018.

Fans on the DMC Discord server recently discovered that the domain: devilmaycry5.com, was registered on the 18th of May by GMO Internet Group – a Japanese internet providing company.

GMO have been responsible for registering the domains of several recent Capcom titles, so this does not look like a coincidence. Monster Hunter: World’s website was registered through the service along with the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard website.

Information regarding these domain names can be sourced via the online identity provider, WhoIs.

This piece of information has added much fuel to the recent speculation that a Devil May Cry 5 announcement is coming at E3, which is now just around the corner. It begins on June 12th and finishes two days later on the 14th.

Devil May Cry is an action-adventure/hack n’ slash series with third-person shooter elements. It was created by Hideki Kamiya and developed/published by Capcom. The first title in the series, Devil May Cry, released in 2001 on PlayStation 2. The series revolves around the main character, Dante, avenging his mother’s murder by slaughtering demons.

The latest DMC game to release was Devil May Cry HD Collection, which featured remastered versions of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening. Check out what we thought in our review here.
