PlayStation Plus Free Games for January Revealed

The full list for the free games included in next month’s ‘PS+ Monthly Games’ has been released, including a video for the PS4 games in particular.

As the video shows, the PS4 games will include Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: The Telltales Series. The former is the sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and sees the return of Adam Jensen as he takes a romp around Prague, invariably getting caught up in the rising tensions between those with and without augments. The latter is Telltale’s take on a Batman narrative across five episodes, featuring the ‘caped crusaders’ once again doing his best stop the city from eating itself alive.

In addition to the PS4 games, the PS3 will also see two titles on the list: Sacred 3 and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Sacred 3 is a hack-and-slash title (not actually an RPG, unlike its predecessors), while The Book of Unwritten tales 2 is a point and click adventure, which sees the return of the first game’s protagonists on another globetrotting adventure.

Likewise, the PSVita will see Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, and Uncanny Valley (which will also be available to the PS4). As the name implies, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is a visual novel connected to the anime of the same name, while Uncanny Valley is a pixel horror game in which the player must survive some disturbing encounters.

Much like the last batch of PS+ games there will also be two bonus games, though unfortunately only one new one: That’s You! makes a return as in the December offerings, but it at least comes alongside StarBlood Arena, a PSVR game that sees the player piloting a spacecraft through a nuttsy battle royale.

The games will be available to download on the 2nd of January, which will also be the shut off point for downloads for the games that were featured in the December PS+ games.
