Secret of Mana Remake Coming to PS4, Vita and PC

Square Enix have announced that one of the greatest RPGs ever, Secret of Mana, is being revived with a 3D Remake and being brought to the PS4, PS Vita and PC.

Almost twenty-five years after the original landed for the SNES in 1993, fans of the adventure of Randi, Primm and Popoi will have the chance to revisit the classic RPG on PS4, PS Vita and PC come the 15th of February 2018. The modern take on the classic will reportedly stay faithful to the original story and top down gameplay but will see improved controls and 3D graphics being implemented. Some of the other amenities include:

  • Audio Updates – including a newly arranged musical score and voiced characters.
  • Upgraded Gameplay – the original system has been reworked in an effort to realise a modern action-RPG with improved gameplay
  • Dialog Scenes Added – several core scenes from the original story now newly visualized in-game.

The announcement may have some fans thanking the heavens, but those who own Nintendo’s current flagship console, the Nintendo Switch, will likely be left confused as to why their console of choice has been left out of the announced platforms.

Pre-orders are currently available on the Playstation Store and will be going for £32.99 and $39.99 US. Alternate costumes for each of the characters will be offered up as a pre-order bonus on PS4. Along with a Day 1 edition for those that pre-order through steam, this will include the aforementioned costumes, as well as a custom downloadable wallpaper.
