Xbox Games with Gold Lineup for May Announced

The Xbox Games with Gold lineup for May has been announced on Twitter by Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb, a.k.a.: MajorNelson.

Four games will be made available throughout May to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, two for the Xbox One and two for Xbox 360, although these games are both backwards compatible.

Marooners will be available on Xbox One from May 1st and will available to download until May 31st. The other Xbox One game, and arguably the standout title this month, is The Golf Club 2019, which will unlock on May 16th and will be on offer until June 15th.

For Xbox 360 gamers, there’s Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, available from May 1st until May 15th. The final game is Comic Jumper, and you’ll be able to grab that between May 16th and May 31st.

The Golf Club 2019 released in August 2018 and is currently priced at £44.99 on Xbox One. If you’re a golf fan, then it’s really a no-brainer to grab the game for free this month. Even if you’re not an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, it’s worth subscribing just for this month to get The Golf Club 2019 for free.

With Games with Gold, you get to keep the game forever once you’ve downloaded it. If you fail to download the games available that month though during the period they’re on offer, you won’t be able to claim them again, so it’s vital that you download any Games with Gold that you want. You can uninstall them afterwards and still get to keep them.
