Just Cause 3 developer committed to fixing “technical issues”

Since launching yesterday, Just Cause 3 has suffered a number of different performance and technical issues across PS4, Xbox One and PC. However those on PC appear to have been hit the hardest with even some high-end machines struggling to achieve an exceptional frame-rate.

Nvidia released a driver update earlier today which seemed to have improved performance by a few FPS so is definitely worth installing regardless, although for a lot of gamers  the game still remains in an unacceptable state.

Posting on Steam, developer Avalanche have promised that they are committed to fixing the issues players are facing so they can make Just Cause 3 “as awesome as possible”. The developer is currently looking into the issues and will have a patch ready at some point in the near future to address them.

However they state that there is no ETA on the patch. “We know that some of you are encountering some technical issues – we’re looking into them all and we’re fully committed to providing you the best possible experience”, Global Communications Manager Petra Opelova.

She continued, “We know you’re going to want specific information on when a patch will land and what will be fixed – we would love to give you that information, and we will as soon as we have it. But right now, a little over one day since we launched, we have huge numbers of players in our enormous game world and we’re monitoring all the data coming in.”

“We need a little bit of time to recreate some of these issues and build fixes. Rest assured though – we are fully committed to making Just Cause 3 as awesome as possible. We already know loads of people are having a blast with the game but we’ll do all we can to make sure everyone is laughing and smiling as they play.”

They recommend that if you are experiencing any issues playing Just Cause 3 to contact their Customer Support as well as checking out the Steam forums to see if you can find a fix from other players. Although you probably have already done as well as tried a number of other fixes.

The Only thing I’ve seen on PS4 is the load times. Which often is NOT bad. But it varies from time to time. Still though, I’ve got like 12 in game hours and just loving this. It’s big, beautiful and full of action.

“However those on PC appear to have been hit the hardest”

Absolute BS. It has an issue with shadow quality and surface setting, and that’s it.

Where as Xbone and PSFail are constantly dropping in to the teens of FPS, summarizing how crap their hardware is.

“Nvidia released a driver update earlier today which seemed to have improved performance by a few FPS”

Yeah, I guess going from around 40 to 70 FPS is a “few”, not that a peasant console scum would know what a 30 FPS difference looks like.

I have been playing JC3 on PC and I and many other players will tell you the increase in performance has been by a few FPS at best. Don’t get me wrong, there a lot of people on PC with a whole manner of different set-ups who are playing the game absolutely fine with no stutters, FPS issues etc, but there a lot of people who are having those problems to an extent that the game can become almost unplayable.

While the PS4 and Xbox One versions also have their issues and their frames drop well below what is expected, at least for the most part the game is still playable even when in the teens. It’s playable, but not acceptable. But on PC, how can you continue to play with constant stutters, frame-rate drops to below 10 and freezing?

If I owned a console right now and played Just Cause 3, the game would still be smoother for me than on PC, as is the case for a lot of other gamers.

They should of delayed it. It dropped after black friday was no incentive to rush it out before then why put it out with technical issues.
