Final Fantasy IX is now available for Steam PC release

 

Earlier this year Final Fantasy IX was ported to the IOS & android market-  sixteen years after the game’s original release on the PlayStation back in 2000. Now the Windows PC version via Steam is released and Square Enix is currently selling the classic role-playing game for $16.79, a 20% discount from its $20.99 asking price- which will end on April 20th.

According to the developers and Steam, here are the additional features the game will have;

Gameplay Features

・Abilities

Learn new abilities by equipping items. When fully mastered,these abilities can be used even without equipping items,allowing for nearly endless customization options.

・Trance

Fill your Trance gauge as you sustain hits in battle. When fully charged, your characters will enter Trance mode, granting them powerful new skills!

・Synthesis

Never let items go to waste. Combine two items or pieces of equipment together and make better, stronger items!

・Minigames

Whether it’s Chocobo Hot and Cold, Jump Rope, or Tetra Master, there are plenty of minigames to enjoy when you’re not off saving the world. You can even earn special item rewards!

Additional Features

・Achievements

・Seven game boosters including high speed and no encounter modes.

・Autosave

・High-definition movies and character models.

The Windows PC release also includes optional booster features, “including high speed mode and no encounter mode, which will allow players to automatically master equipped weapons and gear, as well as maximize character levels, magic stone counts and gil,” Square Enix says.
