Forza 6, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 rumoured to be heading to PC via Windows 10

Following the announcement that the once Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break will also be heading to PC, there are now rumours that Microsoft may be bringing other Xbox One titles such as Forza 6, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 to PC.

However if those titles do make it to PC, they will be available exclusively on Windows 10 via the Windows Store, ruling out a Steam release. It’s Microsoft’s way of growing its Windows Store and getting more gamers on board following the release of Windows 10 last year which is now installed on hundreds of millions of computers around the world. Although as seen with the reaction of Quantum Break being a Windows Store exclusive, gamers aren’t exactly jumping for joy.

WPDang claims they have an unnamed source who has revealed to them that Forza 6, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 will be released on PC to make its Windows Store more mainstream and bring more gamers to Windows 10 as the company looks to tie in the Xbox One and Windows 10 together.

If this rumour does turn out to be true, it will likely pave the way for more Xbox One exclusives to release on PC. That would mean that Microsoft could increase their potential player-base and revenue by making their games Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive, cutting out Steam and PlayStation 4. It makes sense given that the PlayStation 4’s player-base is much larger than the Xbox One’s, so naturally Microsoft will be looking at ways to eat up the gap between the two.

Last year, Microsoft revealed that they would be bringing Xbox One games such as Gears of War Ultimate Edition, ReCore, Halo Wars 2 and Killer Instinct all to Windows 10. With Quantum Break also heading to Windows 10 now, it seems very plausible that Forza 6, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 will also be released on Windows 10.
