EA Announce Mass Effect Remaster

Are you ready to be totally shocked? I mean completely and utterly flabbergasted? Well, dear readers, please make sure you are sat down, we would not want to be responsible for you fainting from shock. Okay, here goes. EA, yep, that EA, have just made an announcement that has made everyone extremely happy. They have not only announced the Mass Effect Trilogy will be remastered but have also announced that they are hard at work in the early stages of a brand new Mass Effect game!!!

Fans of EA’s space epic will know that November 7th has been adopted as Mass Effect Day due to Commander Shepard’s N7 military call-sign. A remaster of the trilogy has been sorely wanted by the Mass Effect community, and EA has just given us all the best N7 day present we could have hoped for!

For many months now, our team at BioWare has been hard at work updating the textures, shaders, models, effects and technical features of three enormous games. Our goal was not to remake or reimagine the original games, but to modernize the experience so that fans and new players can experience the original work in its best possible form

The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, as it is being called, will include all single-player base content from all three games, as well as DLC from each of the three titles, and if that wasn’t enough, EA has also announced that there will be promo weapons and armour also bundled in.

The Shepards are back, baby!

With regards to the new instalment in the Mass Effect series, EA has just announced that a “veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter”.

The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will be optimised for 4k Ultra HD and will be available in the Spring of 2021 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. EA has also announced the Legendary Edition will have forward compatibility for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. What an N7 Day!!!!
