August 2020 Humble Choice Includes Vampyr, Wargroove, Call of Cthulhu and More

The August 2020 Humble Choice has arrived for PC and is headlined by Vampyr, Wargroove and Call of Cthulhu.

Also included in the bundle are Hello Neighbor and Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek, Little Big Workshop, American Fugitive, Genesis Alpha One, Automachef, We Were Here Together, Through the Darkest of Times, The Coma 2, and A Case of Distrust.

Humble advertise all that at a massive total of $312 worth of Steam games in one bundle (or £227.01 at current Steam prices), though your value for money will depend on your Humble Choice tier package.

For the uninitiated, Humble Choice is a unique offering from the Humble Bundle store that provides a monthly list of 12 available games. The number of games that can be picked up as part of the subscription is based on how much you choose to pay. The Basic tier costs $14.99/£11.99 per month, or $134.99/£104.99 per year, and grants access to 3 games of your choosing each month. The Premium+ tier costs $19.99/£15.99 per month, or $179.99/£142.99 per year, and grants access to 9 games of your choosing each month. There is an additional Lite tier that costs $4.99/£3.99 per month, or $44.99/£35.99 per year, but this tier only grants access to the Humble Trove, a selection of DRM-free games that can be played only whilst your subscription remains active.

Lite and Basic tiers also grant 10% discounts in the Humble Store, whilst Premium+ includes 20% discounts.

For August only, Humble Choice is also running a special deal that means Premium costs just £12/£9.66 per month and, for a limited time only, all Premium subscribers get full access to all 12 of the games listed above!

The games offered in Humble Choice are redeemable on Steam via CD key or giftable to a friend and are yours to keep— regardless of whether you stay subscribed to Humble Choice or not.

Unlike its predecessor, Humble Monthly, Humble Choice allows you to purchase the bundle at any time during the month to gain access to the games that you select.

If you’re signed up and looking for suggestions, you’re spoiled for choice in the August 2020 Humble Choice.

Vampyr is a spiritual successor to the Vampire: The Masquerade- Bloodlines games, created by Dontnod Entertainment. It’s a third-person action RPG that puts you in the shoes of a blood-sucker, forcing you to manage the moral choice between drinking innocent blood for powers or staying clean…and weak! Our review gave Vampyr an 8/10 and called it “a game that can be enjoyed by anyone interested in dark, gothic-style narratives that heavily feature vampires.”

Wargroove takes a completely different tone. This colourful game is a love letter to the Nintendo series Advance Wars, putting players in charge of marching sprite armies across tactical battlefields.

Call of Cthulhu is a first-person survival horror RPG set in the world of fantasy horror legend H. P. Lovecraft. It’s a world of creeping madness and cosmic horror, cryptic clues, and pure terror – and maybe a tentacle monster or two.

Don’t overlook some of the non-headliners either. The Hello Neighbor games are stealth horror games about sneaking into the house of a creepy (and perhaps murderous) next door neighbor. American Fugitive seeks to be this generation’s answer to the top-down GTA games of old, and Genesis Alpha One is a roguelite FPS set in hostile alien space.
