Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Will Feature Most In-Depth Character Customisation Yet

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will feature the most in-depth character customisation we’ve seen in any Assassin’s Creed game to date.

While we know that players won’t be able to create their own character from scratch as seen in other Ubisoft games, like Ghost Recon and The Division, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will come packed with plenty of customisation options to help make Eivor unique to each player.

In a live stream with Washington Post, creative director of Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail, revealed that players will be able to choose from a variety of different hairstyles for Eivor, as well as a wide palette of colours to make him/her come alive truly in your own image. It wouldn’t be a Viking game either without awesome beards, so players will also be able to customise male Eivor’s facial hair as and when they please. Other customisation options available to players will include the previously announced customisable tattoos and war paint.

Just like in Assassin’s Creed: Origins, players will also once again be able to flip their Assassin hood up and down. However, unlike in Origins, this will now be done with the push of a button rather than requiring players to go into the inventory menu.

Ubisoft has been keen to push the Assassin’s Creed franchise down the RPG route for some time now, and the added character customisation on offer for Valhalla is another example of this.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be releasing holiday 2020 for both current and next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC and Stadia.
