Microsoft has announced its June lineup for Games with Gold, and it includes EA’s popular ice hockey title NHL 19.
The Xbox One lineup includes NHL 19, of course, and that’s available for free from June 1st until June 30th. Normally, that would cost you $59.99 to purchase outright, but if you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you’ll be able to download NHL 19 for free and get to keep it forever.
Rivals of Aether is the other Xbox One title, and that is available from June 16th through to July 15th. That’s a fighting game and is the spiritual sequel to Super Smash Land, which is a remake of Super Smash Bros. If you’re into those games, then it’s definitely worth picking up for free while you have the chance; otherwise, it would usually cost you $14.99
When it comes to its backwards compatible titles, Portal is the standout game and will be available from June 1st to June 15th. Earth Defense Force 2017 rounds off this month’s lineup and can be downloaded from June 16th until June 30th.
Games with Gold is a program offered to Xbox Live Gold subscribers where Microsoft gives away several free games a month. To claim any of the games, you simply have to download them, then they are yours to keep forever. Once installed, you can uninstall them and still get to keep them.
