The Elder Scrolls 6 Won’t Be at E3 2019, Bethesda Confirm

If you were hoping that The Elder Scrolls 6 would be making an appearance at E3 this year, you’re unfortunately going to be left disappointed as Bethesda has confirmed that the game won’t be making an appearance at E3 2019.

Speaking at PAX East last week, executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios Todd Howard stated that it was too early for the studio to be discussing The Elder Scrolls 6, and therefore, the game won’t be part of their E3 plans this year. He also confirmed that Starfield won’t be featured during Bethesda’s E3 slot.

“Before everyone asks, please be patient,” Howard said. “It’s going to be a long time. It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at E3, either of those games, this year. Patience, please.”

Bethesda did officially announce The Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 2018, along with Starfield, although they stopped short of revealing any real details about either game. While it’s been known that The Elder Scrolls 6 is still far away from release, there was some hope that perhaps Bethesda would have revealed more details on the game at this year’s E3. It’s not that surprising though that Bethesda isn’t ready to discuss The Elder Scrolls 6 yet given that the game is nowhere near ready for release.

While there is no official public release date for the game, Todd Howard revealed last year that he knows when The Elder Scrolls 6 will be releasing, but that it would be foolish for him to comment publicly on it.

Instead of The Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield, we do know that Bethesda will be showing off Doom Eternal, with  Wolfenstein: Youngblood also likely to make an appearance, both of which are set to release at some point this year.

Bethesda’s next release is Rage 2, which is due to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 14th.
