Borderlands 3 Finally Gets Official Announcement

It’s been no secret that Borderlands 3 has been in development for some time, but until this month, Gearbox had remained quite lipped on the game.

A few weeks ago, in the run-up to PAX East, the studio dropped some teasers hinting at Borderlands 3, which as expected, got fans rather excited. Now with PAX East in full swing, Gearbox has finally officially announced Borderlands 3 during their panel by dropping a reveal trailer.

In the trailer, we see that the main villains for the game are the Calypso Twins, leaders of the Children of the Vault cult who players will regularly find themselves fighting against.

Borderlands 3 will also feature a number of new and varied environments for players to explore, including swamps and large cities with other biomes also shown in the trailer. There are also said to be over 1 billion guns for players to choose from, which seems to be an absurd number of different combinations on offer, but given that this is a Borderlands game, it’s no surprise.

As of yet, there’s no release date for Borderlands 3, but we will be getting some more details on the game on April 3rd.
