Battlefield V Delayed for Final Adjustments to Core Gameplay

Battlefield V’s release date has been postponed. The upcoming World War II first-person shooter will now launch on the 20th of November 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The developers, EA DICE, released an official statement which confirmed this and also explained that the team will benefit from extra development time to make important adjustments.

Oskar Gabrielson, General Manager of DICE said:

”With the Open Beta just around the corner, we are excited about the millions of you who will join us and experience the game. And we fully expect to see even more feedback coming our way.

And that’s why we’re moving our launch date. We’re going to take the time to continue to make some final adjustments to core gameplay, and to ensure we really deliver on the potential of Tides of War.

We know moving the launch date means that we all have to wait a little longer. But we’re going to take our time to make sure we get it right.”

Battlefield V was originally due to be released on October 16th (Deluxe Edition) and October 19th (Standard Edition). This means that fans will have to wait an extra month to get their hands on Battlefield V. However, the open-beta will still go ahead as planned. It starts later this week on September 6th.

Battlefield V is the 16th installment in the Battlefield series. The title will continue the theme of revisiting the great wars of the past set by the previous entry to the franchise, Battlefield 1. Fans can expect a lot of focus on party-based features and mechanics. Several new exciting multiplayer modes will be introduced, including Tides of War, Royale and Grand Operations.
