Saints Row: The Third Announced for Nintendo Switch

Saints Row: The Third will be making its way onto the Nintendo Switch, publisher Deep Silver has announced.

The Nintendo Switch port is being developed by Deep Silver Fishlabs, and while there is no official release date yet, the game looks set to release sometime in 2019.

Other than the fact that Saints Row: The Third will be coming to Nintendo Switch, we don’t really know much else. It’s unclear what improvements or changes will be made to the game or if it will feature any new content.

Saints Row: The Third first released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2011 and was a big hit with gamers and reviewers alike, achieving an average score of 84% on Metacritic.

For a long time, Saints Row was seen as the only real competitor to Grand Theft Auto, but the series changed its direction with Saints Row: The Third which saw the game take itself less seriously and move away from realism. The series veered further away from its roots though with Saints Row 4 and Agents of Mayhem, which while not a direct sequel to Saints Row, was at least set in the same universe.
