Dragon Ball FighterZ Adds Two New Features in Free Update

Two brand new features have been added to Dragon Ball FighterZ with a free update: Party Battle and FighterZ Cup.

The Party Battle mode adds co-op fights which consist of three different players teaming up to face off against a variety of ”fearsome bosses”.

FighterZ Cup is a monthly competition where players can fight and earn points for their special fan groups, Z-Unions, that were added in March.

Along with this, the developers have tweaked several different elements to the game including Training Mode, Story Mode and a range of general gameplay improvements. The full list of patch notes can be seen on this Facebook post.

The version 1.08 patch for the game is now available to download. The size of the update is 262.9 MB on PS4.

Fused Zamasu from the Dragon Ball Super series will arrive as a DLC character soon. Plus, we are expecting Super Saiyan Blue Vegito to be formally announced as another playable character after Bandai Namco Taiwan recently leaked the character trailer. It was posted on their official Facebook page before being removed shortly after.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D fighting game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’s based on the popular Dragon Ball series. It’s developed by Arc System Works, the same developers of fellow fighting game franchises Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. Bandai Namco are the publishers, and the game uses the Unreal Engine 4. It launched in January earlier this year.
