PS4 beats Xbox One to most physical Black Ops 3 sales

The PlayStation 4 has managed to outperform the Xbox One once again in the UK by achieving to gain more sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, according to GfK Chart-Track. The PlayStation 4 also managed to have the most amount of sales for last year’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 took a 48% share of all physical copies which were sold compared to the Xbox One’s 43%, leaving 5% in it between the two consoles. However 91% of all physical copies which were sold in the UK of Black Ops 3 were for current-gen consoles, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 only gaining 8% of the share as more people transfer over to the latest generation of consoles. That is an increase of 23% compared to last year where only 68% of copies sold were for either the PS4 or Xbox One.

Physical PC sales however performed considerably worse, leaving it with only 1% of the share, although virtually all PC sales would have been done digitally.

No official sales figures have yet been released by Activision, however they have stated previously that pre-orders of Black Ops 3 were higher than those for last year’s Advanced Warfare.

We as a gaming site are not biased and do not take sides between Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo, we are here to provide people with the latest, most talked about news and supply content for our viewers to read. It was you that cared enough to make an account trolling the PS4 and making a childish comment.

Good stuff, I think it’s time Activision ditches last gen consoles so they can’t hold back future titles.
