Rumour: Need for Speed Reboot releasing November 5?

According to the Xbox Games Store, Need for Speed could be releasing in the UK on November 5, the game’s listing has revealed. The US store also had a release date listed, stating November 3 as the release date, however the listings have since been removed.

EA haven’t mentioned a release date so this slip off by Microsoft could prove to be correct or it could equally be wrong instead being just a “fill-in” date sometimes used by distributors. November 5 is a Thursday however which is an usual day for games to be released in the UK, with titles becoming available either on Tuesdays or Fridays typically.

The listing also revealed more details about the reboot previously not stated by EA. For instance, the game is set in an open-world with 5 different ways for gamers to play and win. The setting for this open-world is set on the West Coast with Ventura Bay being the urban playground as you drive from downtown, the harbour and canyons.

“Carve your own unique path, via multiple overlapping stories, gaining reputation on your journey to become the ultimate icon … Build a car that reflects your character through extensive visual and performance customization. Need for Speed returns with five unique ways to play: Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw, enabling you to earn reputation and ultimately win your way.”
“Discover a nocturnal open world of urban car culture you never knew existed. Ventura Bay is your urban playground; from downtown, the harbour, and the canyons, the city comes alive while you sleep.”
