Fallout 4 will look better on PC than console, Bethesda confirm

With the release of Fallout 4 literally right around the corner, the question on a lot of peoples lips is how much better will the PC version look compared to consoles.

PC gamers would always expect games to look better on the PC compared to console versions and that is also the case for Fallout 4, Bethesda has confirmed on Twitter. However there had been some confusion and doubt after Bethesda’s Pete Hines originally stated on Twitter that there would be no difference between the graphics on console and PC.

Undoubtedly, this concerned a lot of PC gamers who looked for reassurance from Pete Hines that this was not actually the case.

It appeared that Pete Hines had read the question wrong and instead answered whether or not there would be a difference between the PS4 and Xbox One versions, which he once again clarified later that there is no difference between the two. PS4 and Xbox One gamers can expect exactly the same graphics. On console, Fallout 4 is locked at 30FPS at 1080p, whereas the PC version is not FPS locked and can run at a number of different resolutions depending upon your set-up.

Speaking back in June, Hines said, “Fallout 4 is 1080p & 30fps on Xbox One and PS4,” a Bethesda statement reads.

“Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC.”

Hines confirmed on Twitter shortly after concerning PC games, stating that the graphics you can expect will depend on your specs.

As expected, the quality of visuals you will get from the PC version of Fallout 4 will depend upon your rig as well as the resolution you can run the game at.

With the launch of Black Ops 3 on PC being slated for its poor performance and optimization, hopefully Bethesda will release a stable and well optimized Fallout 4 for PC, otherwise its pointless having a beautifully looking game if it doesn’t run smoothly.
