You Can Get Fallout 4 VR for Free When You Purchase an HTC Vive

To celebrate the launch of Fallout 4 VR in December, HTC announced yesterday that they will be releasing a new bundle which will include the HTC Vive headset along with a copy of Fallout 4 VR. Of course, this bundle would cost a bit more as it includes a copy of Fallout 4.

However, today HTC have added that for a certain amount of time, a copy of Fallout 4 VR will be included for free with every purchase of an HTC Vive. The special offer runs until December 2nd, 2017, with Fallout 4 VR set to launch on December 12th. That means you’ve got plenty of time between now and then to get your order in and secure a copy of the VR version of Bethesda’s 2015 hit, Fallout 4.

While the Fallout 4 VR game will be very similar to the original game with regards to gameplay features and story, it will, of course, make the game virtual reality compatible, meaning that you’ll be able to use the HTC Vive to look around and feel immersed in the game world. It will also support motion track controllers, allowing you to interact with the world in virtual reality rather than using a traditional controller.

Some other triple A games, such as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, allow players to use a VR headset but require you to still use a traditional controller to move about and interact with their worlds. Fallout 4 expands on this and allows for greater use of VR.

The HTC Vive is available now for $599.99 after it received a permanent $200 price drop recently from its original price of $799.99.

Fallout 4 VR launches exclusively for HTC Vive on PC on December 12th.
