Call of Duty: WWII Private Multiplayer Beta Trailer Released

It’s not long to go now until the Call of Duty: WWII private multiplayer beta opens its doors to those who pre-ordered the game. To get gamers excited ahead of the beta, Activision has released a brand new trailer which gives us a glimpse of what we can expect from the multiplayer beta, as well as showing us some new gameplay footage

The private multiplayer beta will begin on PlayStation 4 on August 25th, with Xbox One users gaining access on September 1st. The beta is only available to those who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: WWII. If you’re a PC player, however, it looks like you may miss out, unfortunately.

As the name suggests, only the multiplayer portion of the game will be available to beta testers, but it will give you a first look at the brand new Divisions feature which enables players to choose from a range of different divisions to enlist in, including Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored and Mountain. Players will also be able to level up their soldier, although progression is limited in the beta as not all levels, weapons, scorestreaks, and equipment will be available and instead will be saved for the game’s full release.

Three different game modes will be available to play during the beta. They are Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint. As for maps, Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar are the three maps which are on offer.

It looks like there’s a fair amount of content available to beta testers though, and there’s certainly bound to be a lot of excitement for it as this year’s Call of Duty aims to ‘return to its roots.’ It won’t be long now until we find out just how much it has returned.

Call of Duty: WWII is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 3rd.
