FIFA 18 Career Mode Allows Managers to Negotiate Transfers in Person

Career Mode has always been an extremely popular mode within the FIFA series, but unfortunately, it is one that some fans feel let down by. However, if leaked footage from FIFA 18’s Career Mode is anything to go by, this year’s edition could be the best yet.

While EA have remained pretty quiet with regards to what we can expect in Career Mode, leaked footage from the beta build has shown one new feature which is sure to get fans excited. One of the new additions to this year’s Career Mode looks to be the addition of cutscenes that allows the player’s in-game avatar to negotiate transfers and contracts for players in person. Not only that, but it also looks like cutscenes will be in place for when a player signs for a new club as well.

In a tweet released by one Twitter user, you can see the player’s manager meeting with a representative from AC Milan to discuss the transfer of Jordan Henderson. Some of the options that could be negotiated included the transfer fee, obviously, as well as sell on clauses, a first for the FIFA series.

Another tweet from @FromTStands showed the player negotiating in person with Nemanja Matic and his agent as they tried to thrash out a new contract that included a signing-on fee and an appearance bonus.

FIFA’s arch rival, Pro Evolution Soccer, has included cutscenes for signing players for several years now. However, it looks like FIFA 18 will be the first football game that allows the player to actually negotiate transfers and contracts in person.

There’s no doubt that these leaks will definitely get Career Mode fans excited.

FIFA 18 releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 29th.
