Sony has announced what free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting in August. As normal, a total of 6 games shared across PS4, PS3, and Vita.
- Just Cause 3 (PS4)
- Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry (PS4)
- Super Motherload (PS3)
- Snake Ball (PS3)
- Downwell (PS Vita)
- Level 22 (PS Vita)
For PS4 players, the destructive, open world game Just Cause 3 and standalone Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag expansion, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, which follows the adventures of Adéwalé, a slave-turned assassin. The up and coming free-to-play Dreadnought beta will start on August 1st, and as a bonus, PSN plus members get the first DLC for free starting August 15th.
PlayStation 3 players get Snakeball and Super Motherload. Snakeball is a 3D remake of the original arcade game Snake made famous on the old classic Nokia 3310. Super Motherload is a 1 to 4 player couch co-op digging adventure game. Those with a Vita will get Downwell (which is crossplay for PS4) and Level 22. Downwell is a rogue-like vertically scrolling shooter platformer, and Level 22 is a top-down stealth game.
