Is This Leaked Image a Screenshot from Red Dead Redemption 2?

First, Assassin’s Creed: Origins had an image leaked yesterday. Now it seems Rockstar has suffered a similar fate, as an apparent screenshot from Red Dead Redemption 2 has leaked.

This supposed leaked image was uploaded to the GTA V forums by member David.E. The account was created today, and there is no source or information as to where or how this image has come to be. The general consensus on the forum is that this image is fake, but there are a few users thinking this could be an actual image from the sequel to Rockstar’s crown jewel release. The main criticisms of this being a fake are that the character isn’t leaning on anything and the general quality of the graphics, mainly the horse, getting a lot of slack. A lot of users are also claiming Photoshop has been used for many aspects of the image, with some members pointing out that the character himself has been Photoshopped in, as well as the Church in the background that looks a bit suspicious.

An argument for this being real though is that an image from GTA V leaked in similar circumstances on the GTA forums in 2013 by a newly created account with no details accompanying the image. Many users back then were adamant it was a fake, but it proved to be real.

Fake or not, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game the Gaming Respawn team cannot wait to get their hands on and will certainly be a top contender for game of the year.
