The Force Is Strong with Star Wars Day Sales

May the 4th be with you all, even if you are a stuck up, half-witted, scruffy looking Nerf-herder. Apart from the obligatory movie marathon, there is another reason why May the 4th has become a favourite day on the calendar from a galaxy far, far away that Star Wars fans look forward to, mostly because the retail world for the last couple of years has marked the occasion by reducing various Star Wars goodies for us all. The good news for us fellow gamers is that there is a Star Wars sale on pretty much every device that can play a Star Wars game.

Xbox has reduced the Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition and Season Pass by 50%. Battlefront II may well be on the way, but if you let the first reboot of the much-loved franchise pass you by, then it is a great time to pick it up now at this low price. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens has also been reduced by Microsoft by 30%, and an even better bit of news, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is totally free this month on Games with Gold. Sony has also mirrored these discounts but has slashed Lego Force Awakens by an astonishing 67%.

If you’re still not convinced by the latest Battlefront or do not really fancy a Lego take on the galaxy far, far away, then you need not look any further than Steam or GOG for some truly remarkable discounts. Both clients have some truly incredible deals on some retro Star Wars gaming. Over on Steam, classic titles such as Battlefront II, Republic Comando, Knights of the Old Republic I & II are a measly £1.74!! That is just 60p more than a bottle of Coke! If you have a bit more spare cash, you can buy the entire Star Wars Complete Collection on Steam for £44.30 saving a massive 78%. There are 24 games in this collection, so the Force is definitely strong with this deal. The best thing about these titles though is not only are they some of the best games ever made, they will also run on pretty much most desktop PCs and laptops.

For a full listing of these incredible deals, head on over to GOG and Steam. If you don’t fancy watching the movies again, or you need a break between them and have a couple of quid to spare, then there is no better way to spend your Star Wars Day.

May the Force be with you.
