Rise of the Tomb Raider’s story is 15-20 hours long

Rise of the Tomb Raider will take roughly 15-20 hours to finish the story, Crystal Dynamics has revealed.

To complete the whole game, the developer says that around 30-40 hours will be needed to see and do everything. As well as the main story to follow, Rise of the Tomb Raider also features loads of side quests as well as tombs, crypts and caves to explore which are now three times the size of previous games.

Speaking to PixelVenture.com, CrystaL Dynamic’s Lead Designer Mike Brinker said to “Expect to spend around 30 -40 hours getting everything done” while “running through the game will take you around 15 – 20 hours”.

Expect to spend around 30 -40 hours getting everything done. This is gathering every weapons, ability and completing every side quest”, he said. “It all comes down to how you want to play through the game. Running through the game will take you around 15 – 20 hours.”

In terms of what you can do in Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamic has gone a long way in making the game more challenging and giving players a lot of more options to do and places to explore.

“Expect double the play time collecting everything and exploring every secret tomb. In terms of scale, all our hub spaces, the areas that allow you to explore and choose your own way to play, have been increased by three time the size. So there will be lots more to see and do in each area of the game too. We have more challenge tombs, crypts, caves, and a bunch of extra things to do like the side missions for the Remnant people, and the tomb guardians.”

There is no doubt that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be much longer than 2013’s Tomb Raider entry. Hopefully it will be better.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches later this year on Xbox One and Xbox 360, with PS4 and PC versions set for a 2016 release.
