Quick Recap of Nintendo Direct (12/04/2017): Splatoon 2 and ARMS Shine the Switch

Nintendo has posted its latest edition of Nintendo Direct – a program that showcased the company’s upcoming games and hardwares. In this edition the long-anticipated Splatoon 2 and ARMS have finally given their release dates on Switch: 21st July 2017 and 16th June 2017, respectively. Those two games are expected to be new big hits after the successful launch of the console with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Splatoon 2 introduces an all-new co-operative mode called Salmon Run. 4 players will band together to defend themselves against an army of angry salmons while retrieving valuable golden fish eggs. The game will also include support for Amiibos, which players can use to store customized characters in their own figures.

On the other hand, ARMS brings a whole new character line-up for this exotic boxing game. Each character will be armed with unique abilities that can surprise the opponent in the match. The game is also expected to have a 2v2 multiplayer battle mode.
