Total War: Warhammer II Announced and Set for 2017 Release

Creative Assembly last year released Total War: Warhammer, which was well received throughout the gaming community as one of the best Total War games to date. I even had the pleasure of reviewing it last year, and it was by far my favorite in the series. Well, Creative Assembly have already announced the next game in the series just 1 year after the release of the first.

Total War: Warhammer II is set for release in late 2017. With this announcement came a cinematic trailer showing off the new races and biomes to be released. The trailer shows off three of the new races that will ship with the release, Dark Elves, High Elves and Lizardmen, three major factions in the tabletop fantasy game that were missing from the first installment, even in the massive numbers of DLC we have seen for Total War: Warhammer.

Watch the trailer right to the end and you even get to see a glimpse of what seems to be the Skaven, another popular faction.

There hasn’t been any more information released as of yet, but with a release date set for 2017, expect to see some major updates coming soon.

What we do know is that Creative Assembly plan to link the continent from the first campaign directly to the new campaign, including any DLC you have bought or downloaded, essentially creating a very huge, rich world.

If the quality of Total War: Warhammer persists, then we have no doubt Total War: Warhammer II will have no problems come release. Stay tuned for more information, as we will be sure to update it as it comes!
